OREANDA-NEWS The Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan has denied a document on cooperation with Russia in the field of culture that appeared on social media. The ministry's statement is published by the local newspaper Minval.

"This fake document has nothing to do with the Ministry of Culture. The Ministry has not prepared or distributed such a document," the statement said.

The text of the initiative, allegedly put forward by the Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan, was published online the day before. According to the document, Baku offered to take steps to promote cooperation with Russia in the cultural sphere.

Earlier it became known that Azerbaijan canceled all cultural events organized by Russia. Officials in Moscow refused to "cancel" Azerbaijani culture in response to the aggravation of relations.
