OREANDA-NEWS The State Security Service (SSS) brought to Azerbaijan a Russian citizen, Zahireddin Ibragimov, who served as chairman of the Committee for the Protection of the Rights of Ethnic Minorities and also lived in Yekaterinburg. The Azerbaijani edition of Minval Politika writes about this in its Telegram channel.

"Between 2005 and 2020, he repeatedly participated in so-called conferences in Armenia, where he voiced false accusations against Azerbaijan and made biased statements. Ibrahimov also carried out orders from Armenian structures aimed at inciting separatism in Azerbaijan," the report says.

Details surrounding Ibragimov's detention and his transfer to Azerbaijan have not been disclosed at the moment. It is known that he has now been sent to a pre-trial detention center.

Earlier, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Russia is ready to continue to provide Armenia and Azerbaijan with all possible assistance in drafting and signing a peace treaty. He stressed that the very possibility of resolving the conflict had become possible thanks to the trilateral summits with Moscow's participation.
