OREANDA-NEWS The responsibility for the suspension of oil supplies from Russia via the Druzhba oil pipeline to Hungary lies with Kiev, not Moscow, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto wrote on a social network.

"After I told about the Ukrainian attack that paralyzed oil supplies to Hungary, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga criticized me, saying that I should complain about Russia. Apparently, he doesn't know about the facts," the minister wrote.

In particular, according to Szijjarto, "it was Ukraine that attacked this oil pipeline, and precisely because of this, oil supplies to Hungary were suspended."

"Also, do not forget that a significant part of Ukraine's electricity comes from Hungary," he added.

Earlier on August 18, Szijjarto announced that oil supplies from Russia to Hungary had been stopped due to an attack on an oil pipeline by Ukraine.

"Ukraine has attacked the oil pipeline leading to Hungary again. This led to the cessation of supplies," he wrote on the social network X.

According to Szijjarto, the Russian side informed him that specialists are repairing the pipeline, but they do not yet know when this work will be completed.
