Callas announced her intention to reduce the staff of the Permanent Mission of the Russian Federation to the EU

OREANDA-NEWS The EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs, Kaya Kallas, announced her decision to reduce the number of Russian Permanent Mission to the European Union to 40 employees.
"I have decided to limit the maximum number of the Russian mission in the European Union to 40 people. We will not tolerate the abuse of diplomatic powers," the head of EU diplomacy said on Monday at a press conference in Brussels after a meeting of the EU Council on Foreign Affairs.
"And together with the (European) Commission, we are working to prevent potential hundreds of thousands of former Russian soldiers from entering the Schengen area," Kallas added.
She recalled that on Monday, the EU Council imposed restrictive measures on the sanctions regime for massive human rights violations against eight more individuals from Russia.
