OREANDA-NEWS  Maxcomm LLC, established in February, declared the import of components to Russia for 20 thousand base stations of the Swedish Ericsson AB, which officially stopped working in the country a year ago. Sources of Kommersant estimate the cost of the batch at $ 30-40 million and add that its volume is equal to the annual reserve for the development of the network of one of the largest operators. In any case, Ericsson's permission will be required to activate the equipment, experts emphasize. However, only its own position can prevent this: there are no sanctions for the supply of such equipment to private Russian organizations.

It follows from the certificate that the equipment was manufactured in Brazil, China, Sweden, Estonia, India and Poland. Makskomm CEO Maxim Ageev did not respond to calls and messages from Kommersant in Telegram.

In February 2022, immediately after the outbreak of hostilities in Ukraine, Ericsson, which occupied up to 20% of the Russian telecommunications equipment market, stopped deliveries to the Russian Federation. In April 2022, the company announced the suspension of operations in the country "for an indefinite period."
