The strongest cyclone is accompanied by thunderstorms and squally winds. Uttar Pradesh state was at the epicenter of the devastating storm - the storm has been raging for 36-48 hours in different parts of the country. Walls are collapsing and trees are toppling under the force of the wind, and lightning strikes have also been reported. The disaster has already claimed the lives of more than a hundred local residents — at the moment there are 104 of them. Compensation is being paid to the victims, and the unified command center is operating around the clock. Against the background of the incident, Vladimir Putin offered his condolences to the President of India, Droupadi Murmu.

In late April, a devastating tornado struck the city of Enid in the US state of Oklahoma. The whirlwind demolished residential buildings, affected several colleges and the airport. In addition, hurricane-force winds damaged the Vance Air Base, located within the city.
