OREANDA-NEWS. Russian President Vladimir Putin said he ignored reports about the dates of the country's "invasion" of Ukraine. He told reporters about this after negotiations with his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko, TASS reports.

“To be honest, I just didn’t pay attention to it, there are a lot of stuffing. Constantly responding to them is more expensive for yourself, ”he said.

Putin added that Russia would do as it saw fit. He noted that the Kremlin pays attention to what is happening in the world, but has "very clear, understandable guidelines."

Earlier it was reported that the echelon with tanks and other armored vehicles of the Western Military District (ZVO) went to the permanent base after the completion of the exercises near the border with Ukraine. This was reported on the website of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

On February 15, the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Major General Igor Konashenkov, announced that the Russian armed forces had completed part of the military exercises. Thus, the troops of the Southern and Western military districts have completed exercises in western Russia and Belarus and are returning to their garrisons.

At the same time, German Defense Minister Christina Lambrecht said that the "withdrawal of troops", for which NATO takes the return of Russian units from the exercises, is not a reason to "end the alarm."
