OREANDA-NEWS  A married couple from Russia went on a trip — the Russians initially went to Europe through the border with Finland, where they informed the border guards that they were going to Istanbul. However, later the tourists changed their plans and continued to travel around Europe, and then gathered home to Russia — again across the Finnish border.

However, at the checkpoint they faced aggression from the Finnish border guards — they began to ask tourists why they had changed their plans and why they had not been warned that after a visit to Istanbul they would go to the Schengen area.

To top it all off, the border guards called the tourists liars.  As the tourist noted, she and her husband tried to explain to the Finnish border guards that at the date of entry they did not know the exact route of their trip and did not have tickets on hand, but this turned out to be unconvincing. The border guards said they would put an appropriate mark in their database.
