OREANDA-NEWS  Security forces prevented a terrorist attack in an administrative building in Yekaterinburg, the regional FSB department told RBC. Military counterintelligence participated in the arrest of the suspect in the preparation of the attack.

"As a result of a joint special operation of the Federal Security Service of Russia in the Sverdlovsk region and military counterintelligence agencies in preparation for implementation (...) A 47-year—old citizen of the Russian Federation has been detained, intending to commit a terrorist act against an administrative facility in the Kirovsky district of Yekaterinburg," the report says.

According to the FSB, he is a supporter of terrorist and extremist structures. Five homemade incendiary devices were found in the man's possession during the search. In the footage of his detention published by the special service, FSB officers show bottles of gasoline and solvent found in his possession.

TASS, with reference to law enforcement agencies, writes that we are talking about the military enlistment office building. Earlier, Mash reported that activist Mikhail N., who planned to set fire to the military enlistment office, was detained in Yekaterinburg.
