OREANDA-NEWS  Google has updated the security system of the Google Play app store. This is reported by The Verge.

The corporation's specialists noted that the applications downloaded to the smartphone will be scanned in real time. Among other things, security algorithms will test programs using artificial intelligence (AI). Google explained that the increased protection is caused by the growth of polymorphic malware — virus programs that are difficult to detect.

The new system will scan applications at the code level and, if suspicious mechanics are detected, inform the user about it. The Google Play Protect feature will be available on all Android smartphones equipped with Google Play services.

The company also said that the Google Play security system scans about 125 billion applications daily for malicious code detection. The new option will be available in all countries, but first of all it will be tested on smartphones of users from India.

Earlier it became known that a special mode will be added to the Android OS, which will protect smartphone data during repair. The option will close access to the data for outsiders, the lock can be removed using a code.
