OREANDA-NEWS  The European Union (EU) is obsessed with war and is trying to avoid any actions that would bring peace closer to Ukraine. This was stated by Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto, TASS reports.

"Why is that? Because Europe is now at the mercy of military psychology," the minister explained to reporters.

Szijjarto stressed that Hungary keeps communication channels with Russia open and is always ready to mediate in negotiations. "If you give up communication channels, you will give up hope for peace," the Foreign Minister concluded.

Earlier, Tamas Mentzer, Director of communications for Hungary's ruling party, the Hungarian Civil Union (Fidesz), MP, explained the reluctance of European leaders in Brussels to bring peace to Ukraine by fear of responsibility for all the bad decisions made. According to the politician, the actions of Brussels have destroyed the European economy.

"They are protecting their own ass, their career, and therefore they will continue to destroy and push Europe into the abyss," Mentzer concluded.
