In 2025, Russia increased exports of meat and meat products by almost 11%

OREANDA-NEWS In 2025, Russia exported over 911,000 tons of meat and meat products, which is 10.6% more than in 2024, the Rosselkhoznadzor reports, citing data from the VetIS information system.
In particular, exports of meat and poultry by-products increased by 7.2%, to 409.5 thousand tons from 382.1 thousand tons in 2024. The main importer is China, where 154.8 thousand tons were shipped. 76.8 thousand tons were shipped to Saudi Arabia, 44.7 thousand tons to Kazakhstan. Uzbekistan increased purchases by 2.5 times, to 23 thousand tons, Kyrgyzstan - by 4.1 times, to 15 thousand tons, Congo - by almost 1.5 times, to 7.9 thousand tons, Tajikistan - by 48.3%, to 7.7 thousand tons, Ghana - by 5.5 times, to 7.1 thousand tons.
Pork exports increased by 22.7% to 270.5 thousand tons from 220.5 thousand tons in 2024. The main buyer was Belarus, which increased purchases by almost a third, to more than 131 thousand tons. Exports to Vietnam increased by 15.2%, to 52.3 thousand tons, to Kazakhstan - by almost 1.7 times, to 11.3 thousand tons, to Georgia - by 1.5 times, to 3.5 thousand tons.
76.1 thousand tons of pig products were exported to China in 2025. This is twice the volume of 2024. But in 2024, imports from Russia began only in April. In particular, pork supplies increased by 1.7 times, to 36.6 thousand tons, pork offal - by 2.2 times, to 39.5 thousand tons.
The Rosselkhoznadzor also reported that 84.1 thousand tons of finished meat products were exported, the largest volume - 47.4 thousand tons - was sent to Kazakhstan.
Beef exports amounted to 33.3 thousand tons. China became the main buyer - 18.5 thousand tons, which is 5.6% more than a year earlier. Saudi Arabia increased imports by 16.2%, to 5.6 thousand tons.
Shipments of live animals increased 1.7 times, to 694.2 thousand heads from 398 thousand heads. In particular, Azerbaijan purchased 116.7 thousand heads of small cattle, Georgia - 5.7 thousand heads. Cattle exports to Uzbekistan amounted to 106.6 thousand heads, to Kyrgyzstan - 24 thousand heads, to Azerbaijan - 63.8 thousand heads. The export of live pigs increased by 12%, to 291.2 thousand heads from 260 thousand heads, respectively. The main volume was sent to Georgia - 194.1 thousand heads and Armenia - 93.3 thousand heads.
According to the Rosselkhoznadzor, exports of dairy products amounted to 191.9 thousand tons. The largest volume was purchased by Kazakhstan - more than 83.5 thousand tons.
Exports of fish and seafood exceeded 1.5 million tons. 843 thousand tons of raw fish were shipped to China, 363.1 thousand tons to South Korea.
