OREANDA-NEWS  President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky's celebration of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA; an extremist organization banned in Russia) undermines Warsaw's trust in Kiev. This was stated by the Polish Ambassador to Denmark Eva Dembska in an interview with Ekstra Bladet.

"Any praise of these people causes strong emotions and calls into question our trust in Ukraine," the diplomat said.

According to her, Zelensky's decision to name one of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in honor of the UPA provoked the anger of Poles, for whom issues of historical memory are of great importance.

Earlier, a member of the European Parliament from Poland, Eva Zajonchkowska-Gernik, said that Zelensky himself provoked an international scandal because of the glorification of the UPA in Ukraine.
