OREANDA-NEWS India supports all efforts aimed at achieving a peaceful settlement of the conflict in Ukraine and will continue to do so. This was stated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Bishkek, TASS reports.
Modi stressed that every day of war "throws humanity back." He called for the end of hostilities.
Prior to that, Narendra Modi called on all countries of the world to do everything possible to stop the bloodshed in Ukraine. The Indian Prime Minister stressed that this is not the era of war, but the era of dialogue and diplomacy, and that everything must be done to stop the suffering of people.
On August 31, Vladimir Putin flew to Kyrgyzstan to attend the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). In addition, he intends to hold a number of bilateral meetings. Earlier in the day, the Russian leader held talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping. Later, Putin met with Modi in Bishkek.
