OREANDA-NEWS  The Iranian Defense Ministry's export center Mindex has offered foreign governments contracts for the supply of advanced weapons systems with payment in Iranian rials and in cryptocurrency. This is reported by the Financial Times.

The publication clarifies that this is one of the first known cases when a country publicly declares its readiness to accept cryptocurrency as payment for the export of strategic military equipment. So, the authorities are trying to circumvent Western financial restrictions. In addition, the agency is ready to enter into barter transactions.

Mindex emphasizes that it cooperates with 30-35 countries. The catalog of export weapons includes Shahed drones, Emad ballistic missiles, Shahid Soleimani—class ships, as well as short-range air defense systems.
