сOREANDA-NEWS  The Kalashnikov concern has sent a large batch of Saiga carbines to a foreign customer. This was reported by the manufacturer's press service.

As part of the export contract, the concern transferred Saiga, Saiga-MK and Saiga-308-1 rifled carbines. It is noted that the obligations under the contract were fulfilled ahead of schedule. The concern also stressed that since the beginning of the special military operation, the interest of foreign customers in Russian small arms has been growing.

The Saiga carbines are based on the Kalashnikov assault rifle. The base carbine uses a 5.45 x 39 mm cartridge, while the Saiga-MK is designed for the 223 Remington ammunition (5.56 x 45 mm). Carbines with ten-round magazines are equipped with straps for mounting optical sights, flashlights or a front handle.
