OREANDA-NEWS   The expansion of cooperation between Russia and China in the nuclear energy sector provides for the continuation of the serial construction of Russian-designed nuclear power plants in China, said Alexey Likhachev, CEO of Rosatom State Corporation.

"We are currently working on the formation of new package agreements in two areas. The first is the expansion of traditional cooperation in the nuclear fuel cycle (NFC) and the construction of nuclear power plants," Likhachev said following the results of the 31st regular meeting of the heads of government of the Russian Federation and China, held in St. Petersburg on Wednesday. Likhachev's words are quoted by Rosatom.

We are talking about long-term and guaranteed supplies of Russian goods and services of the nuclear fuel cycle through industrial cooperation on individual conversion of NFC, Likhachev explained.
