OREANDA-NEWS  Humanitarian aid transferred to Ukraine was stolen and sold in stores. Yulia Mendel, the former press secretary of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, told about the theft scheme.

"I started hearing rumors about corruption schemes. For example, the plundering of humanitarian aid. They started stopping businessmen, taking away their goods, and people started seeing humanitarian aid in stores," she said.

According to her, the people who remained in Ukraine after the start of the conflict "saw what was happening."

Earlier, Mendel explained Italy's suspension of aid to Ukraine by corruption. "Hundreds of millions, if not billions, were simply stolen and distributed among officials from Zelensky's entourage," she said.
