OREANDA-NEWS  More than 50 Russian companies will take part in the international trade and economic fair, which will open on June 15 in Harbin, China, the People's Government of Heilongjiang Province told RIA Novosti.

"A total of 51 Russian companies have already registered to participate in the 32nd Harbin Fair," reads a joint statement provided to RIA Novosti by the International Trade Promotion Committee of Heilongjiang Province and the Regional Commerce Department. Russian companies, in particular, will present food products, timber products, and tourism projects at the exhibition. As the local authorities noted, during its existence, the Harbin Fair has formed a "unique advantage in comprehensive cooperation" with Russia, especially in terms of finding partners and attracting investments. According to local authorities, the number of Chinese-Russian economic and trade events that will take place within the framework of the fair will make up a fourth of the total number of events planned at it.

"We are fully confident that the Sino-Russian trade cooperation will achieve even greater success and results during the exhibition," the statement said.

The 32nd Harbin International Trade and Economic Fair will be held on June 15-19. According to the provincial authorities, 1,297 companies from 35 countries and regions will take part in the fair this year.
The fair has been held annually since 1990 and attracts business representatives from more than 80 countries and regions of the world. Traditionally, Russian companies and products from different regions of Russia are widely represented at the fair.
