"We are talking about an attacker who threatened Oktoberfest, and the police and the coordinating committee unanimously agreed that we cannot risk allowing people to attend Oktoberfest," said Munich Mayor Dieter Reiter.
However, it is assumed that the investigators, while working at the scene, could receive data indicating that the safety of Oktoberfest visitors could be at risk.
Earlier it became known that an apartment building in Munich was deliberately set on fire during a family conflict. Booby traps were found in the building, and special forces were deployed to neutralize them.
