OREANDA-NEWS  Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan called a productive telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin on June 1. He stated this in an interview with a correspondent of Izvestia, the video was published on the Telegram channel of the politician.

"We talked with the President of Russia, and I thanked him for the call. He called to wish me a happy birthday. We talked about business, and we had a positive conversation," the Armenian Prime Minister said.

Pashinyan commented on a telephone conversation with Putin during the pre-election event, and also promised to attend a meeting of the heads of state of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).

The politician separately commented on the phytosanitary restrictions imposed by the Rosselkhoznadzor on the import of products from Armenia and called it the best step to abandon any restrictive measures against Yerevan. According to him, this issue has now acquired a political dimension.

Earlier, during a telephone conversation, Pashinyan thanked Putin for his birthday greetings and for Moscow's balanced positions. They also agreed to continue discussions in the format of a meeting at the earliest opportunity.
