OREANDA-NEWS The Polish authorities will build towers to monitor the border with Belarus within a radius of 10 kilometers on both sides of the border. This was stated by the chief commandant of the Polish border guard service, General Robert Bagan, the newspaper Dziennik Gazety Prawnej reports.

According to him, the towers will be 70 meters high, they will be equipped with modern optoelectronic devices. It is noted that the facilities will provide an accurate overview of what is happening on both sides of the Polish-Belarusian border.

In addition, it is planned to add cross beams to the protective wall of steel lattice blocks with a height of more than 5 meters and a length of 186 kilometers erected on the border in 2022.

Earlier, the Polish border guard service found a balloon with contraband cigarettes near the border with Belarus. According to the RMF24 radio station, the aircraft was found in the vicinity of the village of Minkovci, Podlaskie voivodeship.
