Problems with power tools have been noticed in Russia

OREANDA-NEWS The withdrawal of foreign manufacturers from the Russian market has led to a shortage of high-quality power tools, and Russian analogues of equipment are currently not trusted by professionals. This is evidenced by a survey of the Engels brand from JSC E1 Group (which owns the former plant of the German concern Bosch), which is referred to by Kommersant.
Respondents mostly describe Russian electrical equipment as cheap (37 percent) and having no problems finding spare parts (24 percent). Its quality does not cause complaints from 12 percent of specialists.
54 percent of the respondents are ready to switch completely to domestic products, while a third of them agree to do so only at the moment when the quality of the tools increases to an acceptable level.
Separately, 31 percent of the survey participants noted a noticeable increase in the cost of power tools, and 26 percent indicated that it is quite easy to find the necessary product.
The Bosch power tool factory in Engels was opened in 2008. At its peak, it produced up to two million units, of which three quarters were exported. In March 2022, the German company announced the suspension of operations in Russia due to the risks of using its products for "non-civilian" purposes.
