OREANDA-NEWS  The editor of the Ruptly video agency has been detained in Azerbaijan — she filmed the searches and detentions at the office of Sputnik Azerbaijan, which took place on the afternoon of June 30.

"At about 16:00 she arrived at the place. The last time she got in touch was at 16:20 with the message that she had filmed the material," Ruptly told RT.

Since then, the editor has not been in touch, her mother confirmed the detention of the girl.

On June 30, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan announced that operational measures were being carried out at Sputnik's office in Baku. According to the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, employees of the consular department of the country's embassy are not allowed to see Russian journalists.

Igor Kartavykh, the head of the editorial office of Sputnik Azerbaijan, and Evgeny Belousov, the editor-in-chief, are currently detained there. Igor Kartavykh suffers from diabetes and needs insulin on a regular basis.

Dmitry Kiselyov, General Director of the Rossiya Segodnya media group, noted that the work of the agency's representative office was carried out according to the temporary legal scheme proposed by Baku.
