Russia and the United States may cooperate in the development of deposits in the Arctic

OREANDA-NEWS Russia and the United States in the Arctic can cooperate in field development projects or joint LNG projects, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak told reporters on the sidelines of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) summit.
"If we talk about the Arctic zone, this is the development of deposits or participation in joint projects for the liquefaction of natural gas.
That is, the areas that are actively developing in Russia today. There is a need, including among our American partners, for the development of appropriate infrastructure, production of ... liquefied natural gas," he said, answering the question on which projects Russia will cooperate with the United States in the Arctic.
"It's just being discussed, really. We'll see how it goes," he added.
