OREANDA-NEWS  Russia is ready to resume gas supplies to European countries if they wish, but they can do without it, since Moscow "has a place to sell our gas." This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak, quoted by TASS.

Assessing the current situation and export prospects, he noted that with a shortage of gas and cheap energy resources, European consumers are overpaying for more expensive liquefied natural gas, and Russia has always been a reliable supplier.

"You know that in recent years we have developed the infrastructure for supplies to those countries that are most actively increasing consumption, where the economy is growing. Therefore, Russia has no problems with the sale of gas in this regard. This is more of a problem for Europe," Novak stressed.

Also on October 27, Russian President Vladimir Putin noted that the situation with energy in the EU is related to the actions of the European authorities themselves, who are hitting their industry and social sphere with their own actions, and recalled in this regard the saying "Don't dig another hole, or you'll fall into it yourself."
