OREANDA-NEWS  Russian companies are strengthening Armenia's energy security and are the largest taxpayers in the country's budget, Russian President Vladimir Putin has said.

The Russian leader flew to Kyrgyzstan the day before for the SCO summit. On Tuesday, Putin held talks with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

"Russian companies are the largest taxpayers in the Armenian budget, creating jobs, transferring modern technologies and strengthening the country's energy security," Putin said during the meeting.
