OREANDA-NEWS  German Chancellor Olaf Scholz is convinced that he will still talk with Russian President Vladimir Putin, he said at a press conference in the German capital on Friday.

"Naturally, I will talk to him again," Scholz said, noting that there are no clear dates for a conversation with Putin at the moment.

The Chancellor's speech and answers to questions were broadcast on the website of government press conferences.
In June, Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation, said that there were no specific proposals on holding telephone conversations from Scholz. He recalled that Putin had stated that he remained open to communication. The last telephone conversation between the two heads of state took place in December last year.
