Scorpions star Francis Buchholz has died

OREANDA-NEWS The former bassist of the legendary German rock band Scorpions, Francis Buchholz, has passed away at the age of 71. This was reported by the Bild newspaper with reference to the musician's wife.
The woman confirmed to reporters that the actor died after a long battle with cancer. The Scorpions were founded in 1965 in Hanover by guitarist Rudolf Schenker. In total, during their musical activity, the band has released 19 studio albums, 10 of which featured Buchholz.
Scorpions also toured the USSR and Russia, and one of their most famous songs, Wind of Change, was written under the impression of performances in Leningrad and Moscow.
In July 2025, it became known that the British rock musician, one of the founders of the cult band Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne, died at the age of 76. A few weeks before, Ozzy had given a 9-hour concert with his band.
