OREANDA-NEWS Police found six launchers near a disabled electrical substation in Bergheim in western Germany, the DPA news agency reported, citing representatives of the investigation.
Earlier, the disruptions in the substation in the city were reported by Spiegel magazine. According to him, the police have put forward a version of intentional damage.
"After disruptions at the Bergheim substation near Cologne, investigators found six launchers at the site," the agency said in a statement.
According to Chief Prosecutor Ulrich Bremer, who is responsible for investigating the incident, the discovered installations represent "very strong evidence of an intentional crime."
The investigators noted that the devices will also be examined for possible traces of DNA. Information about the identity of possible suspects is not provided.
Bremer also stressed that investigators are investigating the connection between the incident in Bergheim and the attack on the substation in Brandenburg. According to preliminary data, law enforcement officers managed to identify similar evidence in both cases.
