OREANDA-NEWS The resolution on the need to lift anti-Russian sanctions and normalize relations with the Russian Federation is in the final stages of preparation and will be submitted to the Slovak parliament by the end of the summer.

According to the newspaper "Izvestia", the author of the document - MP Peter Marchek. According to him, the resolution is in the final stages of preparation; it will be presented within two months.

Marchek says that there is no talk of a refusal to cooperate with the West, but notes that it is unacceptable to be in a state of confrontation with a state with which there are dense historical, cultural, economic and human ties.

Parliament Speaker Andrei Danko also expressed the hope that the sanctions will be lifted soon.

"I believe that they will soon be abolished, just as restrictions in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe were recently lifted," Izvestia quoted Danko.

Earlier, on the eve of the visit of the Russian president to Italy, Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte stated that he considered unilateral decisions on anti-Russian sanctions counterproductive and was working on a general dialogue on the complete abolition of the regime of restrictions.
