OREANDA-NEWS. The Ministry of National Unification of South Korea expressed deep regret over the new missile test in the DPRK. Nevertheless, Seoul believes that with the help of dialogue and cooperation, it is possible to improve inter-Korean relations. This is reported by the Yonhap agency.

It is noted that the South Korean authorities demand that the DPRK agree to a dialogue as soon as possible. Seoul plans to interact with interested countries on this issue, including the United States.

«We will consistently make efforts through dialogue and cooperation for the complete denuclearization of the Korean peninsula, maintaining peace, and developing relations between the South and the North», the message reads.

The United States also reacted to the DPRK's new missile tests. The US military condemned these actions, but at the same time reported that there was no threat to the United States and allies. Washington called on Pyongyang to refrain from further destabilizing actions.

Earlier, the DPRK conducted tests of two short-range ballistic missiles. They were directed towards the Sea of Japan. The Japanese government protested. According to Deputy Secretary General of the Japanese Cabinet Yoshihiko Isozaki, such situations «pose a threat to the peace and security of Japan and the entire region».
