OREANDA-NEWS The Walt Disney Company estimated losses "from the depreciation of intangible assets" associated with the Disney Channel in Russia, Forbes reports citing the company's report, Gazeta.ru reports.

It is alleged that the company incurred expenses of $195 million after the termination of broadcasting of its eponymous channel in Russia.

In early March, the company temporarily halted the delivery of its films to Russia -- pictures produced by Pixar, Marvel Studios, Lucasfilm and 20th Century Studios.

Later, The Walt Disney Company suspended all of its business activities in Russia, including licensing of content and products, activities of National Geographic magazine, Disney Cruise Lin, and broadcasting of the Disney channel.

Earlier, it was reported that the Disney+ platform had increased the number of subscribers to 137.7 million and could become the market leader.

The Walt Disney Company was founded on October 16, 1923 by brothers Walter Elias and Roy Oliver Disney as a small animation studio.
