OREANDA-NEWS The representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova said that the request of the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin, sent to the Prime Minister of Sweden three months ago, about involving representatives of Russian authorities and Gazprom in the investigation of sabotage on the "Nord Streams" has so far remained unanswered.

"The question is obvious: and for what reason, in fact, is Sweden so persistent? By the way, representatives of other Western countries who are involved in the investigation of the incident also support Stockholm in this persistence... Why are they not allowed to properly connect to the investigation? Are they hiding something?"— Mrs. Zakharova said at a Foreign Ministry briefing.

At the same time, according to the representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, no one doubts that the explosions on the "Northern Streams" are not an accident or accident.

The explosions on the Nord Stream-1 and the non-commissioned Nord Stream-2 occurred on September 26. Three of the four strands of pipelines were damaged. Russia and the EU countries called the incident a diversion. Denmark and Sweden took up the investigation, since the incident occurred in their economic zones. Germany joined them.

Later, Gazprom was connected to the inspection of the explosion sites on the Nord Streams, which found two craters at the site of the explosions — three and five meters deep. Russian President Vladimir Putin called the bombings a terrorist attack and blamed "Anglo-Saxons" for them. On October 29, the Russian Defense Ministry accused the UK of involvement in the bombings. London denies the charges.

On January 5, the representative of the European Commission, Dana Spinant, said that the investigation of sabotage on the "Nord Streams" continues. It is conducted by the law enforcement agencies of Denmark, Sweden and Germany. The representative of the EC noted that she could not add anything to the information already published.
