OREANDA-NEWS  The magistrate of the judicial district of the Tagansky district of Moscow on Thursday fined Telegram messenger 50 thousand rubles for refusing to delete data about an employee of Rosaccreditation, RIA Novosti correspondent reports from the courtroom.

The employee asked to remove the post from one of the channels, which says that she was previously a citizen of Ukraine, and now works in the civil service in Russia.

"To find Telegram guilty of committing an administrative offense under Part 5 of Article 13.11 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of the procedure for collecting, storing, using or distributing personal data"). To impose a penalty in the form of an administrative fine in the amount of 50 thousand rubles," Judge Timur Vakhrameev announced the decision.

Roskomnadzor appealed to the court after the appeal of an employee of Rosaccreditation. The agency demanded that the messenger delete the post, but the requirements were not met, and therefore a protocol was drawn up.
