OREANDA-NEWS  A Florida jury found Ryan Root guilty on all counts, in particular, of attempting to assassinate Donald Trump in the fall of 2024, Fox News reported on Tuesday.

"Ryan Root, accused of attempting to assassinate Donald Trump, who was at that time a candidate for president of the United States, was found guilty on all counts," the TV channel reports.

He was found guilty, in particular, of attempting to assassinate a US presidential candidate and assaulting a Secret Service officer, the media said.

In the future, the judge will have to determine what punishment the convicted person will receive.

On September 15, 2024, a shooting occurred in Florida near the golf club where Trump was staying. The suspect in the attempted assassination of Trump was arrested and identified as 58-year-old Ryan Root. He was armed with a rifle and was near a golf club in Florida when Trump was playing golf. Root tried to push the barrel of his rifle through the mesh fence of the golf club, but the Secret Service spotted him and opened fire.
