OREANDA-NEWS The Ninth Arbitration Court of Appeal rejected Euroclear Bank's complaint against the ruling of the Moscow Arbitration Court on the refusal to allocate part of the Bank of Russia's claims to separate proceedings in the case of the Central Bank's claim against the Belgian depository for the recovery of about 200 billion euros, according to materials reviewed by RIA Novosti.
On May 15, the court of first Instance fully satisfied the Central Bank's claim against Euroclear, recovering losses in seven currencies from the defendant. The case was considered behind closed doors.
Prior to that, on April 20, the court rejected Euroclear's request to separate part of the plaintiff's claims into separate proceedings. It is not specified what exact requirements the defendant wanted to highlight. Earlier, the Central Bank explained that the amount of the claim consists of the value of blocked assets and lost profits.
