OREANDA-NEWS  German Chancellor Friedrich Merz risks escalation in relations with Russia. Markus Fronmeier, a German politician and deputy head of the Alternative for Germany faction, came to this conclusion on the social network X.

"Friedrich Merz criticizes the Germans, saying that they underestimate the Russian threat! Mr. Merz, has it occurred to you that the Germans simply do not want an escalation in relations with Russia and are not ready to sacrifice everything for Ukraine?" — the politician asked himself.

Fronmeier also noted that his party is fighting for Germany not to participate in "other people's wars."

Earlier, Friedrich Merz complained that financing Ukraine's needs is a big problem for the budgets of the European Union countries, since the United States does not provide assistance.

Before that, it became known that Europe does not know where to find the extra 70 billion euros for Ukraine. It was noted that the demand of Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky took European officials by surprise and they did not know where to get additional funds.
