OREANDA-NEWS  Russia is a good place for Indonesian students to study in the field of exact sciences, Indonesian Ambassador to Moscow Jose Tavares told RIA Novosti.

"I think Russia is a good place for Indonesian students to learn science, technology, engineering, mathematics, (medicine - ed.). This can later contribute to the growth and economic development of Indonesia," Tavares said in an interview with the agency.

He added that Indonesians can count on scholarships from the Russian government in Russia.

"Every year, from 250 to 300 people come to study at different Russian universities. The Government and President Prabowo Subianto confirmed their intention to send students to study abroad, including Russia, to master science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and medicine. We are looking for centers of excellence at the best universities in Russia, and then recommend them to the Indonesian Ministry of Education," the ambassador said.
