OREANDA-NEWS According to the Israeli Ambassador to Russia Alexander Ben Zvi, Hamas has stopped negotiations on the release of the hostages taken on October 7.

"As for the situation (with hostages - IF), it is unknown to us. Despite all the requests, Hamas has not even provided a list of those who are with them, in what condition they are, whether they are alive. We don't know what's going on there, so it's very difficult to negotiate without knowing what you're talking about," Ben Zvi said on the Rossiya-24 TV channel (VGTRK), answering a question about the condition of the hostages and whether negotiations are underway for their release..

"As far as I know, we don't have any negotiations right now, Hamas has stopped them on its own initiative," he stressed.

The ambassador added that Israel insists on the release of all hostages and does not consider it right to "release them in parts."

On October 7, the Gaza-based radical group Hamas launched an attack on Israel. More than 1,400 people became victims of the attack, more than 200 people were taken hostage. In response, the Israel Defense Forces launched a military operation against Hamas. The number of victims of Israeli strikes in the Gaza Strip, according to Palestinian data, exceeded 11 thousand people.
