OREANDA-NEWS  Pentagon Chief Lloyd Austin announced a new $2 billion package of military assistance to Ukraine, which will include combat drones and ammunition for HIMARS. This is stated in the message of the defense department. The equipment will not be transferred from the Pentagon warehouses, but will be ordered to manufacturers.

The assistance package will include shells for 155-mm artillery installations, CyberLux K8, Switchblade 600, Altius-600 and Jump 20 drones, as well as equipment for detecting drones and means for electronic warfare, mine clearance, communication equipment

The US Department of Defense also issued a statement by Pentagon Chief Lloyd Austin in connection with the anniversary of the entry of Russian troops into Ukraine. According to him, the United States provided $32 billion in military aid to Ukraine over the year, and allies provided another $20 billion. The USA transferred 1.6 thousand Stinger systems to Ukraine, 8.5 thousand Javelin, 232 howitzers and more than 2 million rounds of ammunition, 38 HIMARS systems, a Patriot air defense battery, 8 NASAMS systems, 109 Bradley IFVs, 31 Abrams tanks and 90 Stryker IFVs.
