The President of Kazakhstan stated that it is impossible to solve world problems without Russia

OREANDA-NEWS The upcoming presidential elections in Russia are of great international importance, since no serious problem in the world can be solved without Moscow's participation. This was stated by the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in an interview with Egemen Qazaqstan newspaper.
"The Russian Federation plays a very important role in world politics and is a permanent member of the UN Security Council. Russian President Vladimir Putin is a man who influences the global situation with his words and deeds. It's no secret that the whole world will take into account Russia's position. It is clear from the moon that without the participation of this state, no problem in the world will be solved," Tokayev said.
Speaking about the presidential elections in Russia, the President of Kazakhstan noted that in 2024 elections will also be held in the United States, Great Britain, India, Azerbaijan and other countries, MEPs will be elected. At the same time, the presidential elections in Russia are of the greatest importance for Kazakhstan.
"After all, Astana and Moscow have developed very high relations. Everyone knows that Russia is a key partner and ally of Kazakhstan," Tokayev said.
The President of Kazakhstan recalled that interstate relations between Russia and Kazakhstan are strengthening, more than 300 treaties and agreements have been concluded between the two countries, and cooperation mechanisms are in place in various fields. Russia and Kazakhstan have the longest border on the continent, and the trade turnover between the two countries in the first 10 months of 2023 amounted to $ 21.4 billion.
On December 29, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan named four factors of Astana's friendship with Moscow.
On December 26, Kazakhstan signed agreements with Russia on the construction of three thermal power plants in the republic.
Earlier, Putin discussed the partnership in the gas sector with the leaders of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
