OREANDA-NEWS  The Russian delegation, headed by Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, left the DPRK after a working visit. This was reported by the Korean Central Telegraph Agency (KCNA).

The guests were escorted by North Korean Defense Minister Kang Sun Nam, various commanders, as well as the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Russia to the DPRK Alexander Matsegora and embassy staff. A guard of honor was formed, and the orchestra performed the anthems of both countries.

As Life wrote, the Russian delegation was in North Korea from July 25 to 27. The trip was timed, among other things, to the seventieth anniversary of the victory of the Korean people in the Liberation War, which lasted three years — from 1950 to 1953. Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu managed to hold talks with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, giving him a message from Vladimir Putin, as well as to see an exhibition of the latest weapons in Pyongyang.
