OREANDA-NEWS The Russian Embassy in Cairo called on Russians vacationing in Egyptian resorts to comply with all regulations of local authorities, including restrictions on swimming in the open sea, the diplomatic mission said in a statement.
On September 13, the Egyptian Ministry of Environment reported that an Egyptian woman was injured in a shark attack off the coast of the resort of Dahab. The victim was provided with the necessary assistance, her condition stabilized.
One of the beaches of Dahab was closed after the incident. The head of the department Yasmin Fuad instructed to immediately form a commission to assess the situation, clarify the causes of the incident and control coastal waters.
