OREANDA-NEWS The size of Ukraine's national debt per inhabitant is almost $ 8.5 thousand, according to data analyzed by RIA Novosti.
According to statistics from the country's Ministry of Finance, national loans amount to $211.6 billion.
In early May, the Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine Denis Ulyutin stated that the population living in the territory controlled by Kiev is 22-25 million people.
Thus, with the maximum demographic indicator, every resident of Ukraine owes 8.46 thousand dollars.
Kiev is trying to plug the holes in the budget through external financing. Meanwhile, in the West, the allocation of new aid packages is taking place after lengthy discussions, and partners are increasingly warning that Ukraine needs to step up its search for sources of self-financing.
