OREANDA-NEWS  A tourist vacationing in a luxury hotel in Spain was arrested and charged with fraud. This was reported by the Daily Mail.

The incident occurred in the city of Palma in Majorca. The British tourist stayed at the Santa Ponsa Hotel, where he stayed for a month. The man owed 17 thousand euros (1.5 million rubles) for services, but ran away without paying the bill.

The suspect was detained in another hotel of the same chain after he tried to check in again for an illegal vacation. The Briton was taken to court, and after the hearing he was released on bail. At the moment, the investigation is ongoing. Police suspect that the fraudster may have used the services of other hotels on the island.

Earlier in Spain, a woman pretended to be a rich client and robbed three five-star hotels. The fraudster won the trust of the staff of prestigious hotels with the help of expensive clothes and a special "manner of speech".
