OREANDA-NEWS The UK has imposed sanctions against the Russian Union of industrialists and entrepreneurs, according to a document published on the website of the British government.

"The Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs," the updated sanctions list says. The reason for being sanctioned is "involvement in obtaining benefits from or supporting the Russian government by doing business in strategically important sectors" for the Russian authorities.

In addition, the list of sanctions included the Russian National Reinsurance and Ural Mining and Metallurgical Companies, as well as the head of Rosfinmonitoring Yuri Chikhanchin and the Krastsvetmet company, which is one of the world's largest producers of gold, other precious metals and products made from them.

In addition to Krastsvetmet, traders Paloma Precious DMC and Paramount Energy & Commodities DMCC from Dubai, as well as the Flybridge technology company, were subject to anti-Russian sanctions.
