OREANDA-NEWS  The United States will release the imprisoned Russian after the return of American Mark Vogel, presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

"The result of contacts (between Russia and the United States through agencies. — Editor's Note) was the release of Vogel, as well as one of the citizens of the Russian Federation, who is currently being held in prison in the United States of America. This citizen of the Russian Federation will also be returned to Russia in a few days," the Kremlin spokesman said.

The name of the Russian released in the United States will become known when he returned to his homeland, Peskov said.

The presidential press secretary added that the agreements on the release of citizens help build the trust of countries, but they are unlikely to be a turning point.
