There was a strong earthquake in Japan

OREANDA-NEWS An earthquake of magnitude 6.9 occurred off the southeastern coast of Kyushu Island, the Main Meteorological Agency of Japan reported.
According to him, the earthquake was recorded at 21:19 local time. The hearth was located at a depth of 30 kilometers under water.
The magnitude was initially estimated as 6.4, but the agency later raised it to 6.9.
Tremors of up to five points were felt on the entire island of Kyushu, up to three points on the island of Shikoku and a vast area on the island of Honshu, from Hiroshima to Osaka, where the RIA Novosti correspondent lives.
There has been no information about casualties or damage yet.
After the earthquake, the Japanese authorities declared a tsunami threat. So, residents of the east coast of Kyushu and the south coast of Shikoku are warned about a tsunami up to one meter high. A tidal wave warning of up to 20 centimeters high is in effect for the islands of Amami, Tokara, Tanegashima, Yakushima and some regions of Honshu Island.
At 21:48, a tidal wave of this height was observed in the area of the port of Miyazaki on the island of Kyushu.
According to the NHK TV channel, tremors of up to three magnitude were observed in the areas of the Sendai and Ikata nuclear power plants. The NPP staff did not detect any failures in their operation or deviations in radiation levels.
