OREANDA-NEWS  US President Donald Trump has expressed his readiness to preemptively pardon the head of the American company SpaceX, Elon Musk, if he becomes the subject of a congressional investigation after the midterm elections. His words are quoted by Bloomberg.

Trump stressed that he would not even consider granting clemency in advance, promising to protect the businessman and his assistants if necessary. "I'll do it if necessary. Of course," he said.

The American leader also recalled that his predecessor Joe Biden had pardoned his son Hunter and several administration officials before leaving office.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin called Elon Musk a brilliant man. According to him, Moscow is in "close contact" with the United States and Musk on space issues.
